Oh my gosh! I think I got it. This better be right cause it took me almost two hours out of my working hours...
Ok TimerA is the 7-minute clock and TimerB is the 4 minute clock.
1.Start both at the same time.
2.When timerB finishes after 4 minutes flip it over, there will be 3 minutes left on timerA.
3.By the time timerA finishes, timerB has one minute left.That's 7 minutes total elapsed.
4.Flip timerA over and wait until one minute has elapsed on timerB. thats 8 minutes total elapsed.
5.timerA should have one minute in it, flip it over and you get the 9th minute.
