Thank You for the cross, Lord

Thank You for the price You paid

Bearing all my sin and shame

during our Lenten walk with Jesus on the Via Dolorosa,

may we remember that HE DIED FOR US.

may the struggles we hold, the pains we have,

the obstacles we face, the heavy cross we bear...

may they all be made beautiful

may they live only to purify us

we are each faced with the call to strip away the "self"

and to be filled only with the Grace and Love of God.

may we be refined in gold for God.

may we be cleansed, be purified.

may we give of ourselves what we never thought we could/would.

may we give more of our time to God in reflection and prayer.

may we forgive and ask for forgiveness.

may we love and accept the love of others.

fast.

give alms.

pray.

and sacrifice.

the Lord is more than worthy.

none of it will be easy

but this is our cross, brothers and sisters.

may we bear it with pride, conviction, perseverance,

strong faith, and LOVE.
