i love borders.
wow! i just spent over $100 on books!
that is some craziness.
but i'm super excited to delve into them.
one of the books is a self help book, recommended to me by Father Pat.
He loves Dr. Phil. but to be honest, i've never even seen an episode of his show.
so we'll see...
but i'm definitely in the mood for both a motivating, self-improvement read and a "feel good" read.
so this weekend....i may be the usual home-body.
i'll be in my room making a calendar for myself, prepping some more, and reading all my books! yay!!!
ps- what should i do this year for my birthday?

WOW, joyce!!! you sound like me!!! =) you know, they say that one of the things you should NEVER buy new is books, but i thoroughly disagree. shopping for books is ALWAYS fun...
and, yes, i have read memoirs of a geisha. i did enjoy it, though not as much as other people that i know read it. it's interesting, though...and very historical. waaaay better than the movie.
glad to hear about starting your job as the choir director! isn't teaching FUN? stressful, but fun! how come your year starts so early...are you guys year round?

you know what billy bob thornton said to people that buy self help books? he said, "there's your problem right there. you can't help yourself cuz yourself sucks!"
true story...that's what he said. u should get "motivational" books instead of self-help books. learn from me, self-help books don't help.
